Ever-popular performance apparel brand picks Perth’s top retail spot for West Coast relocation
Global performance and lifestyle apparel leader, lululemon, will open its 447 square-metre West Coast store at 140 William Street, Perth this week on Thursday 22 May – cementing the iconic retail precinct on Murray Street Mall as a premier shopping destination in Western Australia.
The addition of lululemon as anchor tenant represents a major milestone for the mixed-use precinct, reinforcing Cbus Property’s growing presence and reputation within the national retail market.
As one of the world’s most recognisable athleisure brands, lululemon’s decision to move into 140 William Street reflects the precinct’s unmatched location, connectivity and growing consumer base and builds on recent tenancies secured, including renowned hospitality hotspot Light Years, which opened in April.
“This is a significant leasing milestone for the 140 William Street precinct and reaffirms our position as a landlord of choice in Western Australia,” said Adrian Pozzo, CEO of Cbus Property.
“It adds to our strong track record in delivering high-performing retail environments and reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in the Perth CBD. We are proud to expand our Western Australian portfolio with future-focused assets that attract top-tier operators and foster vibrant, connected precincts,” he added.
Strategically located in the heart of the CBD and adjacent to key public transport links, 140 William Street is perfectly positioned to benefit from the major infrastructure and urban developments currently underway – including the new Edith Cowan University (ECU) campus, set to welcome 10,000 students from Semester 1, 2026.
Ria Hayward, Head of Retail at Cbus Property said of the store’s arrival, “We’re thrilled to partner with lululemon on the launch of their new Perth store at 140 William Street in the heart of the CBD.”
“Securing a global brand of lululemon’s calibre reinforces our position as a leader in delivering high-quality retail environments and reflects our ongoing strategy to partner with best-in-class operators to deliver thoughtfully curated retail offerings. As demand for wellness-oriented retail continues to grow, we are confident lululemon’s presence will resonate strongly with the Perth customer,” she added.
Managed by CBRE, 140 William Street continues to thrive, as Perth CBD visitors grow year on year. In 2024 the centre attracted more than 9,600 visitors daily and in 2025 has already surpassed this figure by four per cent.
