Colliers brokers 10,700sqm Brooklyn deal as competition for well-located industrial space intensifies.
Leading event hire operator Dann Event Hire has taken a 10,700 square metre logistics facility in Melbourne’s tightly held inner west, as occupier demand for mid-sized industrial assets continues to outstrip supply.
The group has signed a 6.5-year lease over 77 Millers Road, Brooklyn, in a deal brokered by Colliers on behalf of landlord Stockland. The property sits within a 22-hectare infill logistics estate with immediate freeway access, reinforcing the ongoing premium attached to well-located last-mile assets.
The transaction marks Dann Event Hire’s second deal with Colliers and reflects the operator’s expanding national footprint, servicing major events including the Australian Open, Australian Grand Prix and the AFL Gather Round.

Occupier demand in this size bracket remains particularly strong, driven by businesses that need both scale and proximity to central Melbourne and key arterial networks.
“Brooklyn and the broader inner west continue to outperform given their infill characteristics and connectivity. With vacancy across Melbourne’s west sitting just above 3 per cent, assets of this scale and quality are increasingly difficult to secure.”
About 60,000 square metre of industrial space has been absorbed in this segment in Melbourne’s west year-to-date, with further transactions under negotiation, pointing to continued leasing momentum despite a more cautious macro backdrop.
Dann Event Hire said the move was driven by the need to scale operations while maintaining access to its core Victorian market.
