Norwest Quarter Retail Precinct Gathers Momentum

Momentum is building at Norwest Quarter, with a wave of new restaurants, cafés, health and wellness operators preparing to open their doors from May as the Hills District’s landmark zero-carbon mixed-use precinct comes to life.

Developed by Mulpha Australia, the 3,500sqm retail precinct is emerging as a lifestyle destination focused on dining, health, wellness and everyday convenience, supporting the precinct’s newly completed residential apartment towers, Banksia and Lacebark.

Five new hospitality venues are scheduled to open over the coming weeks, bringing a diverse mix of cuisines and experiences to Norwest and strengthening the area’s growing reputation as a dining destination.

The first wave of operators includes Japanese restaurant Yuzu; modern Mexican restaurant Angelica; Mediterranean-inspired Pichon Café and deli; neighbourhood cafe Good Graces; and premium wellness-inspired café ANVAYA Kitchen and ANVAYA Head Spa + Beauty.

Additional operators are expected to follow throughout the year, with Crown Nails forecast to open in mid-June, while Evolve Health Club is progressing towards a July launch.

The premium wellness facility will feature a state-of-the-art gym floor, dedicated yoga, reformer Pilates and group fitness studios, alongside recovery amenities including infrared saunas, contrast therapy and massage chairs.

A new medical centre, Norwest Family Practice is expected to open in August, alongside fresh food marketplace The Growers, which will offer gourmet produce, artisan bakery goods, deli items, organic products, premium wines and ready-to-eat meals tailored to local residents, hospital staff and office workers.

Andrew Newling, Senior Development Manager at Mulpha Australia, said the retail rollout marked a significant milestone in the evolution of the precinct.

“We are seeing Norwest Quarter evolve into a genuine lifestyle and community destination, with a diverse mix of operators that align with the precinct’s focus on sustainability, wellness and connection,” Mr Newling said.

“The calibre and diversity of tenants coming into the precinct demonstrates strong confidence in the Norwest market and will significantly enhance the amenity available to residents, workers and visitors across the Hills District.”

Among the openings this month is Angelica, a vibrant modern Mexican restaurant inspired by the culinary culture of Guadalajara.  Its menu will feature signature dishes including Barbacoa ribs, Duck Mole, Torres de Mariscos and Birria tacos, alongside a curated cocktail and drinks offering designed for long lunches, casual dinners and group dining occasions.

“We’re excited to create a welcoming local venue that combines quality food, great service and a vibrant atmosphere for the community,” the Angelica team said.

Another hospitality operator, Lucky Neighbour, will open in November and will deliver a contemporary take on Cantonese dining inspired by Hong Kong’s dynamic food culture.

The restaurant will focus on authentic flavours, premium ingredients and live seafood, with signature dishes including Typhoon Shelter Crab and Shallot Lobster.

Pichón Café will add a family-focused café and deli offering to the precinct, drawing on the founders’ Italian and Argentinian heritage.

Founded by a young local family, the venue will feature an in-house deli, panini bar and Mediterranean-inspired hospitality experience designed to encourage connection and community gathering.

ANVAYA Kitchen will bring a premium wellness-inspired café and dining experience to Norwest Quarter, blending elevated comfort food with a luxurious Japandi-inspired atmosphere.

The menu has been designed to deliver bold flavours, high-quality produce and beautifully presented dishes that feel both indulgent and nourishing.

Guests can enjoy signature dishes such as the ANVAYA Signature Omelette — a decadent three-egg omelette topped with king prawns, caramelised banana blossom, fragrant Asian spices, citrus salsa and finished with a vibrant pomegranate glaze.

Other highlights include the vibrant Poke Bowl featuring marinated wild rice, smashed avocado, edamame, corn, wakame salad and spicy wasabi mayo, alongside favourites such as the gluten-free Classic Caesar Salad with crispy bacon, parmesan and homemade Caesar dressing.

ANVAYA Kitchen will also offer premium dishes such as a 250g grass-fed Scotch fillet served with fries and a choice of creamy mushroom sauce or paprika hollandaise, as well as truffle fries, rib corn with Cajun butter and rich café-style comfort plates designed for sharing and grazing.

The beverage and dessert offering will be equally impressive, featuring Vittoria coffee, premium matcha and wellness drinks, freshly squeezed juices, and indulgent desserts including the signature French Toast Crème Brûlée and tempered Belgian hot chocolate.

Good Graces will focus on quality café food and specialty coffee, centred around Australian breakfast classics done exceptionally well.

The menu will feature bacon and egg rolls, smashed avocado, smoked salmon bagels and popular toasties such as Reubens, alongside fresh pastries, sandwiches and specialty coffee using Single O beans.

As one of Australia’s first all-electric mixed-use precincts, Norwest Quarter has been designed as a walkable, bike-friendly village centred on sustainability and community connection.

Once complete, the broader 3.8-hectare precinct is expected to deliver approximately 864 apartments across eight residential towers, alongside hospitality venues, wellness operators, neighbourhood retail and more than 70 per cent open green space.
