Kokoda Property Group Expands Its Legacy, Bridging Property and Hospitality with the Launch of Kokoda Hospitality

Kokoda Property Group is set to expand beyond its award-winning property portfolio, announcing a strategic move into the hospitality space. This evolution reflects Kokoda’s long-standing commitment to design, lifestyle, and place, and represents the next chapter in delivering integrated, experience-led destinations.

Driving this next phase, Kokoda leads a best-in-class collective of architects, interior designers, placemaking strategists, food and beverage consultants and artists who are backing their ambition to set new benchmarks in design and experience. This is strengthened by an expanding in-house team, bringing expertise from some of Australia’s most acclaimed hospitality groups.

Kokoda’s hospitality arm will debut with The Angel of Malvern, a three-level village of venues crafted to form the new heart of the neighbourhood, featuring a vibrant public bar with a courtyard beer garden rooted in genuine Australian hospitality, elevated mediterranean dining on level one and a late-night cocktail bar on the top level. The venue will redefine Malvern’s social scene, delivering in-demand event spaces and experiences that reflect Kokoda’s ambition to create lively, design-driven destinations at the centre of the community.

Guided by Kokoda Property Group Founder and Managing Director Mark Stevens affinity for heritage architecture, the restoration of The Angel will honour its history while shaping its next chapter. The 1856 landmark will be revived with the same ambition and character that first defined it.

The Angel of Malvern will be the first of several Kokoda Hospitality venues to open at Station Place, the retail precinct anchoring Kokoda’s luxury residential development Malvern Collective. More details on the Station Place Malvern precinct will be unveiled soon.

Kokoda Property Founder and Managing Director Mark Stevens said the move to hospitality is a natural extension of the group’s focus on creating places that people connect with. “Our expansion into hospitality is about deepening those connections and curating environments that are not only designed beautifully, but experienced memorably.”

Up north, Kokoda Property Group’s $1.5b Teneriffe Banks development will be home to Queensland’s first Kimpton Hotel, in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG). Remaining true to Kimpton’s global reputation across world-class restaurants, the new hotel will feature multiple venues imagined by Kokoda Hospitality, including two signature restaurants on the riverfront, as well as an open-air poolside terrace, speakeasy vinyl bar, a rooftop cocktail bar and a pool club.

Teneriffe Banks will also feature over 2,800sqm of absolute waterfront dining and retail, which will be expertly curated by the group’s new hospitality arm.

The full hospitality brand will launch in early 2026, with further announcements to follow. The team is actively expanding, and hospitality professionals who share a passion for design, detail, and customer experience are encouraged to get in touch via jrowland@kokodaproperty.com.au.
