Exceed Capital has appointed Tim Horan AM as Non-Executive Director with the boutique fund manager.
While best known as an Australian rugby union commentator and former player, Mr Horan has extensive experience in strategy, governance and growth, with a strong track record leading teams and advising businesses across investment, banking, and corporate strategy.
In his role at Exceed Capital, Mr Horan will be an independent member of the company’s board of directors, joining Vaughan Hayne and Justin Clarke. The Board’s aim is to implement a strategy to grow Exceed Capital’s assets under management to $1 billion.
Exceed Capital Managing Director Vaughan Hayne said he was proud to announce Tim’s appointment as Exceed Capital’s Non-Executive Director.
“Tim is one of Australia’s most respected sporting and business figures,” he said.
“He is a dual Rugby World Cup winner and member of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame, who has successfully transitioned from elite sport to leadership roles in business and investment.
“His expertise will play a key role in guiding Exceed Capital’s long-term direction and strengthening our governance as we continue to grow and deliver for our Investors.”
Mr Horan said he was looking forward to taking on the new role at Exceed Capital, assisting to guide the fund manager’s growth over the coming years.
“I have known Vaughan for more than two decades, and I was excited to take on this role with Exceed,” he said.
“I have witnessed the growth in the business over the past five years in particular, and with the right strategy the future growth trajectory is impressive.
