Colliers facilitates landmark lease of premium intermodal facility to Medlog, reinforcing South West Sydney’s industrial market strength
Colliers has successfully secured a record-setting lease at Goodman’s 9 Stonny Batter Road, Minto NSW. The 128,000 sqm intermodal facility was leased to transport and logistics giant Medlog under a 15-year agreement, with Colliers’ agents Trent Gallagher and Angus Urquhart leading the campaign.
This transaction marks the first time an intermodal facility of this calibre has been offered for lease in Sydney in recent years. Colliers ran a targeted off-market leasing campaign, engaging 40 select global intermodal, rail, and 3PL operators. The competitive process resulted in four shortlisted parties receiving simultaneous Heads of Agreement, driving a premium outcome for the landlord.
Colliers National Director, Industrial Trent Gallagher said, “This site presented a rare opportunity for operators to secure a purpose-built intermodal facility with direct rail access and significant yard infrastructure,”
“The scale and flexibility of the asset made it highly attractive to global logistics players,” Mr Gallagher added.
“The result reflects the strength of demand for strategic industrial assets in South West Sydney, particularly those aligned with infrastructure and supply chain efficiency,” added Angus Urquhart, Director, Industrial at Colliers.
The property comprises three freestanding warehouses, a two-level corporate office, and a substantial 71,876 sqm container-rated hardstand with stacking capacity up to five high.
Direct rail access, an existing weighbridge, and a large truck marshalling area further enhance the site’s operational appeal. Strategically located in Sydney’s South West logistics corridor, the facility offered unmatched connectivity and scale.
