Leading Sydney commercial real estate agency, Next Commercial has kicked off spring on a strong note, announcing the sale of a portfolio of two automotive properties in NSW, spanning Fairy Meadow (Illawarra) and Dubbo (Central West NSW) for a combined $56 million following a highly competitive Expressions of Interest campaign. This lifts Next Commercial’s 2025 automotive transactions to $71 million, following the $15 million sale of Bathurst Motor Group earlier this year.

“We set an ambitious target and exceeded it. The response from local and national buyers shows the market appetite for quality largeformat, land rich retail. The sitting tenant, Autopact, ultimately purchased the portfolio, which underscores the strategic importance of these assets to their network,” says Ryan Cross, Senior Executive at Next Commercial.Â
“Gateway Automotive and Western Plains Automotive are secured by net leases to Autopact, which operates more than 30 sites on Australia’s east coast. This outcome underscores Next Commercial’s specialist capability in this sector, with $71 million transacted year-to-date. Autopact’s transition from tenant to owner is a strong endorsement of these locations,” said Anthony Bray, Director, Next Commercial.
