A specialist financial adviser has secured commercial office space in a Townsville City building in an expansion move.

retireWisely will occupy a 95sq m space at Suite 1/569 Flinders Street, after signing a four-year lease.

The leasing deal, which was struck at a rate of $265 per square metre, was negotiated by Knight Frank agents Mark Fitzgerald and Dan Place.

Mr Fitzgerald said the Townsville space attracted strong interest from potential tenants during the leasing campaign.

“We have seen significant ongoing transactional activity in Townsville CBD over the past 12 months, and this deal, just on the doorstep of the CBD, represents another space being leased,” he said.

“RetireWisely will move to this location in an expansion move.

“The tenant was drawn to the location of the tenancy, as well as its current modern fitout, which is a combination of open plan workstations and private offices, as well as amenities.”

The office space also offered excellent natural light, secure on-site rear parking and an opportunity for prominent signage allocation.

Mr Place said activity for small to medium-sized tenancies had been strong.

“We are also seeing significant enquiry from new businesses moving into Townsville,” he said.

“The preference at the moment is for fitted out tenancies, as this takes away a significant cost and makes for a smooth transition.

“569 Flinders Street offered tenants a premium, move in ready solution for businesses seeking a modern and functional workspace, which is a big part of why the space was sought after.”

We were drawn to the natural light, open-plan layout and art deco feel of the Railway Building. The space provided both form and function—flexible consultation areas, and a professional yet welcoming atmosphere.

“The decision to move into the CBD was driven by our desire to be closer to our clients and professional networks.
