Located at 1895 Ballarto Road, Clyde, the 2,140-square-metre centre will bring much-needed convenience to the fast-growing community, featuring a supermarket alongside an additional 15 specialty tenancies and 146 place early education centre.

Set to open in mid to late 2025, Farm Gate Local shopping centre will not only enhance local amenity but also create new job opportunities, further supporting the area’s rapid growth.

The centre will be anchored by Grace Oz Grocery, Plus Fitness, and Aspire Early Learning. Specialty retailers secured to date include bottlemart liquor, Domino’s Pizza, Barbers Kingdom and Eco Laundry Room.

Oreana is also in talks with a range of tenants in the hospitality space to open cafes and takeaways to cater for the growing Clyde population.

Oreana Managing Director Tony Sass said Farm Gate Local would deliver important amenity and improve convenience for up to 3000 locals living nearby in the Riverfield and Evergreen estates.

“We believe in the importance of local retail in new communities. These centres provide opportunity for community connection, as well as economic growth and jobs for locals,” he said.

“Farm Gate will make life easier by giving locals easy access to the essential shops they need, taking the pressure off more established centres.”

With a 20-year track record delivering homes, retail and early education in Melbourne’s growth areas, Oreana is developing, building and leasing the Farm Gate Local shopping centre.

“Farm Gate Local is well under construction, and we’re excited to welcome residents when it opens in the second half of this year,” Mr. Sass said.

“As an end-to-end developer, we go beyond construction—we collaborate with tenants to design their spaces, helping them open faster and start trading sooner.

“Our integrated approach allows us to deliver better outcomes—by streamlining time and budgets, we stay competitive in the market while ensuring a high-quality result.”

Oreana recently completed the development of the Kallo Town Centre spanning 7,120 sqm of gross lettable area, 30 retailers, a Woolworths, office and childcare, successfully sold to ASX-listed Region Group for $64 million.

The group has also commenced construction on a $70 million shopping centre development at Brossard Avenue in Mickleham and a $32 million shopping centre development at Linfield Avenue in Epping.
