Leading developer Kokoda Property Group has acquired a new site on Burnley Street in Richmond to deliver its first commercial project.

Located at 418 Burnley Street, Kokoda Property’s vision for the 854sqm corner site is to deliver a boutique nine-storey tower designed by Kokoda Property in collaboration with Chris McCue of Studio McCue.

Designed by Studio McCue, the building will feature commercial floorplates across nine levels, each with aspects to the north-east, south and west, capped by an expansive rooftop terrace.

The building will comprise a brick base podium that reflects the neighbouring heritage building, with end-of-trip facilities and bicycle parking available on the ground floor, as well as 250sqm of ground floor retail and wellness amenities including a dedicated fitness area.

Above the brick podium will be a shaded glass facade that is as architecturally beautiful as it is environmentally considered, chosen for its ability to control heat gain.

The site was acquired due to its broad north frontage and prime corner location, located just moments from Burnley Station and City Link and is within walking distance of Swan Street.

Kokoda Property Group’s Founder and Managing Director Mark Stevens said the company was excited to expand its office portfolio.

ā€œThe Kokoda brand is synonymous with luxury residential precincts and our experience and expertise within this space will be adopted in the workplace design. ā€œOur commitment to quality and craftsmanship will be evident throughout this project and we are looking forward to delivering an A-grade office with a ground-floor retail showroom to the ever-growing commercial pocket of Burnley and Richmond,ā€ he said.

The Burnley Street acquisition follows a string of exciting milestones for the developer, including its landmark Teneriffe Banks development, which achieved $285M in sales on its launch day in Q4 last year.

Kokoda Property is planning to submit its plans for the Burnley Street site soon.
