Limited blocks remain in Diggers Rest’s first masterplanned community

3 July 2024

Since launching in the historic Diggers Rest neighbourhood in 2017, Bloomdale by AVID Property Group (AVID) is now down to its final four residential blocks as the development reaches practical completion.

The national developer’s flagship Victorian community now has close to 4,000 residents over 1,300 homes and counting, making it the largest masterplanned community in the area.

AVID Victoria Acting General Manager Bruce Harper said it has been a major feat to achieve civil completion on site and he anticipated buyer interest to increase due to the exclusive nature of the remaining blocks.

“Bloomdale has a very strong reputation in the community and locals are always keeping an eye out for our next steps and the construction progress, it’s exciting to be able to share this news with the wider community,” Mr Harper said.

The remaining blocks are all fully titled with civil works complete.

“The benefit of a titled block is buyers can start the building process sooner. All remaining blocks are also just a short stroll from one of our newest greenspaces, Flore Park,” Mr Harper said.

While the residential community is approaching completion, AVID’s work in the area is not done as they prepare to open their new land lease community, Vantage Bloomdale, which will neighbour the existing masterplanned neighbourhood.

“This new address allows as to create a truly inter-generational address where grandparents and parents can live a resort-style lifestyle within minutes of their children.

“We already have a number of Bloomdale families in our residential address who have parents living in one home and adult children and their kids in another, so we feel interest in Vantage Bloomdale will be strong,” Mr Harper said.

Bloomdale resident Maurizio Rizzo has lived in the community since the beginning, buying in 2018 before downsizing to another Bloomdale block this year.

Mr Rizzo also supported his daughter with her own Nostra townhome in Bloomdale which she lives in with her children, keeping the inter-generational bonds strong.

The community feel and the location have also been key reasons Mr Rizzo has chosen to stay and bring his family to Bloomdale.

“We had been living in the much larger Taylor’s Hill suburb nearby and it was just getting a bit chaotic, we wanted a bigger home at a better price, and we found that at Bloomdale.

“It was also still close to the freeway; it really made my work commute a lot easier each day,” Mr Rizzo said.

“There’s a really nice community feel, it’s just beautiful, why would you want to go anywhere else?” To find out more about the final Bloomdale blocks visit: https://bloomdale.avid.com.au/.
