King Street Studios ushers in luxe, landlord-owned flexible workspace at 66 King St

New flexible workspace King Street Studios has provided a co-working lifeline to businesses working out of the landmark ACA building in Sydney’s CBD.

King Street Studios has opened its first premium flexible workspace in the historic 66 King St building, ushering in a new era for the striking art deco property.

The building, revamped in 2020 with a $60 million refurbishment, had WeWork as its anchor tenant from 2018 until the US-based co-working giant quit the site in November 2023.

The businesses that occupied the WeWork space were given one month to vacate. However, they have been able to stay put after signing on to the King Street Studios reincarnation, spearheaded by building owner Phillip George, with workplace consultancy firm Boutique Concepts brought on to ensure the smooth transition.

Databricks, Miro and Spriggy are among former WeWork tenants that have taken the opportunity to remain in the reincarnated King Street Studios spaces.

They and other tenants are enjoying a spectacular new rooftop area, along with transformed workspaces, reception zone and communal meeting rooms.

A dedicated on-site concierge, an on-call design service and IT team, plus state-of-the-art meeting facilities, are among other first-class communal amenities and services offered at King Street Studios.

Ms. Pires said the fact King Street Studios is operated by the building owner provides tenants with an extra layer of certainty.

“Unlike other flexible workspaces, King Street Studios is owned by the building landlord, so tenants can feel secure in their membership agreements and tenure,” she said.

Set among up-market retail and close to numerous transport options, King Street Studios is set across 13 private and secure floors of about 500sqm each, offering scalable workspace solutions from dedicated desks to private suites for teams of five to 65.

A variety of membership options is also available, allowing growing or established businesses to choose the workspace solutions that best align with their requirements.
