$190M Wattle Grove Lifestyle Resort Cleared for Takeoff

The Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel (MODAP) has officially given the nod to Providence Lifestyle Group’s over 50s lifestyle resort in Wattle Grove, paving the way for construction to soon begin.

The Development Application for Wattle Grove Lifestyle Resort at 32 Gavour Rd was last week unanimously approved by the MODAP.

Providence Lifestyle Group Managing Director John Wood said the approval set the stage for on-site works to commence on the $190 million 15 hectare development within the coming months.

“We are pleased to take this important step forward in bringing Wattle Grove Lifestyle Resort to life, thanks to strong planning support for this project,” he said.

“With high demand for housing in Perth, and strong interest from our early market testing from locals in and around the foothills, this development will provide 190 architecturally-designed homes in a thoughtful next generation community for active over 50s.

“It will be the best lifestyle resort of its kind in the eastern corridor of the Perth foothills, and it will facilitate the delivery of a 120+ age care development next door with St Jude’s.”

Mr Wood said some initial works had already been completed.

“We upgraded the culvert crossing of Crystal Brook, which flows through the land, in anticipation of receiving planning approval as it improves site access and demonstrates our commitment to progressing the development responsibly, and as soon as we could after approval,” he explained.

“After two and a half years in the planning, we are excited to bring the Wattle Grove Lifestyle Resort to life and to deliver yet another thriving community for over 50s in the Perth foothills that will undoubtedly help free up larger homes for WA families.”

The Resort offers one, two and three-bedroom homes featuring solar panels and battery storage as well as a contemporary Clubhouse, pickleball courts, a bowling green, indoor heated spa and pool, sauna, dance floor, gym, vegetable garden, hobby workshop, cinema, music room, and more.

“As with our other communities, Wattle Grove Lifestyle Resort is being designed for active, healthy, early retirees and empty nesters, and deliberately promotes social connection, which is vital for physical and mental wellbeing,” said Mr Wood.
